Heat Treatment of 17-4 PH
Many stainless steel alloys are not heat-treatable, but 17-4 PH can be heat-treated to an exceedingly hard state, which allows for optimization of these desired properties:
- Increased tensile strength
- Improved ductility
- Reduced brittleness
- Enhanced corrosion resistance
Beryllium Copper C173 Heat-Treating
Kager Industries provides heat-treating annealing and zone annealing for beryllium copper alloys. Annealing allows for improved cold working of BeCu metals, and heat-treating to condition HT helps BeCu obtain the strength, hardness and conductivity required to perform in rigorous conditions without loss of integrity.
